The Federal Reserve System I feel has improved the banking system. The system created regional Federal Reserve Banks thoughtout the country. These banks were all supervised by a Federal Reserve Board. These Federal Reserve banks allowed other member banks to borrow money to meet any short-term demands. This process helped prevent bank failures. The Ferderal Reserve System also created the national currency which the United States still uses today.
The FRS has improved because of the insurance they put to protect their clients investments. This makes people feel more secure in putting their money in banks so the banks can use what is there and the investore can earn interest with out having to worry about the bank failing like in the 20's.
The Federal Reserve System has improved banking because it clears checks and supervises lending to prevent and improve areas of disorganization.
